Okay, Been working at Dollar Tree for over a week now, and there's been this "Operation Easter" poster up, but I never really knew what it was about, until a lady bought about four gifts for it. I found out that it is a drive to where you buy and donate stuff on a list to go to needy families that can't afford Easter, and when I put the gifts that the woman bought in the box in front, I about lost it. There were only like three gifts in there, and I know this box was there before I started working there. I spent 4 dollars and put nine gifts in there and a big bag of suckers(I bought three three packs of bubbles). EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS A DOLLAR!!! I've seen a woman come in and spend 168.00 on stuff, 95.00 of it candy, and not one bit went in to that box. I've seen people go in there and spend 40, 50, 90 dollars and nothing in the box, how would they feel if they were those needy parents who couldn't afford their child's Easter and had to see the dissapointment because someone couldn't spend just a dollar on a gift? It just really dissapointed me in people, but I'm still gonna put at least 2 dollars in there everyday I'm working, we have multi packaged items, so it'll spread out easier to buy a little bulkish.
Everybody have a good day
